Entry Visa to the Sudan
Requirements for an entry visa to the Republic of the Sudan from the Embassy in Abuja. The online application form will be available soon; you may book an appointment now.
General requirements
- A passport valid for at least six (6) months, with at least two empty pages.
- Two (2) recent passport-size photographs (photocopies are not accepted).
- A completed visa application form and a copy of the passport.
- A medical certificate (Yellow Fever, and where applicable other tests) is recommended.
- A passport copy and any other supporting documents.
Available visa types
Choose the type of visa you want to apply for. Each has its own additional requirements, and your choice is carried into the application form.
- Family visitThe full name, address, and telephone number of your contact in Sudan.
- BusinessA letter from a sponsoring company or business partner based in Sudan.
- EducationAn official admission letter from your Sudanese educational institution.
- OfficialsA note verbale from the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja.
- StudentsA recent admission from a Sudanese educational institute, and a health certificate.
- VisitorsAn invitation from a sponsor in Sudan, made through the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Khartoum.
Processing and validity
Visa approvals are offered within two weeks (a fortnight). An approved visa is valid for one month and may be extended for a further week if requested before it expires.
Applicable fees are determined by the Embassy and are payable in person. No fee amounts are published on this website.
